Project 365: Feb 23rd – Feb 28th 2017

6 days down, 359 to go.

So far the hardest part is picking my favorite picture from each day. As you will see below some days I couldn’t choose just one.

Project 365: Photography Challenge

Today I turn 29 years old. As my twenties come to an end and I prepare to embark on the adventures that my thirties are sure to bring, I find myself reminiscing more than I do on most birthdays. During my twenties my life completely changed, many times over. Who I am changed, many times over. I doubt that any other decade of my life will be as transformative as my twenties. I have this one remaining year and I plan to make the most of it!

I have decided to participate in Project 365. If you aren’t aware, Project 365 is the challenge of taking one photo everyday for a year. Do you remember what happened to you on November 10th 2016? I don’t, I barely remember yesterday. For my last year being a twenty-something I vow to photo document at least one aspect of my life each day until I turn 30!

I have a few reasons for taking up this challenge.

  1. I think it’s a fun way to close this chapter of my life.
  2. I’ve been looking for a new way to freshen up my photography skills.
  3. I hope it will motivate me to get out of the house more.

I will post my photos for the previous month here on my blog on the first of each new month. I’m excited to see what this year holds for me and how it all comes through the lens.

If you want to start your own Project 365 challenge let me know. I would love to follow along through your pictures as well! If you want a more formatted platform here are some sites dedicated to the challenge.

Washington State Road Trip!

It’s Friday Funday Again!
This week, we explore central Washington on a road trip from Portland Oregon to Cle Elum Washington!
Adjusted6Road Trip!!! I don’t know about you but I love road trips! There is just something magical about packing up supplies and jumping in your car with someone special! It may be the ever changing sights out the window, the sing alongs with the radio, the laughter and conversation along the way or simply the freedom to stop (or not stop) whenever the mood strikes!

Summer Favorites!

The weather is turning colder, kids are heading back to school and advertisements for pumpkin spice everything are starting to pop up around us. Summer is coming to an end… I won’t pretend to be all broken up about it, I prefer Fall and Winter myself. Even though I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming seasons I must look back at the happiness of Summer and appreciate the season for all it gives!

Clackamas County Fair!

Welcome to Friday Funday! Each Friday I will post another fun adventure! Selfishly, I hope this will encourage my husband and I to find fun new ways to spend time together each week. I also hope this will spark ideas for my readers and encourage you all to get out there and have some fun!

Last weekend we visited the Clackamas County Fair, in Canby Oregon! We had a great time and I’m honored to share our adventure with you! Here are pictures of my favorite parts of the fair!

I have lived near Portland Oregon my entire life but there is always more to see and discover. I love finding new sights to explore in my beautiful state and what could make it even more exciting? Free admission! That is exactly what the Portland Attractions Marketing Alliance is doing in 2015! With my Oregon Zoo membership I can get into a new attraction each month for free and I intend to take full advantage of this opportunity! Lean more for yourself here.

January’s attraction was Portland Japanese Garden and it was awesome! My Mom, sister, nephew, husband and myself explored the oriental garden on a surprisingly warm but foggy morning. The fog added a magical feeling to the atmosphere that we couldn’t have planned better ourselves!
